Let's Make A Mug Cup is so Comfy!
A Nice Late Night Series to Chill.
A series primarily driven to promote tourism in Tajimi and the local specialty ceramics and its own customs. It is loosely based of a manga which was creature back in 2012 and but another series closer to the anime has began this year in Manga Cross.
You might be wondering what's enjoyable about a series like this? First, this series is rather enjoyable and a rather soothing slice of life series dealing with a girl adjusting to a new environment and experience the local culture and making friends whilst at it. These sort of setting and story line is rather common because it puts the audience in the same place as the main character so it can feed information and not feel out of place. It is also a prime setting to explore a new environment and teach and show the viewer the wonders of the local places in a way that fits the wider narrative. In addition, this setting allows it to really showcase the Tajimi and the relevance of the pottery in its culture as it is featured in many locations around the city which we can see in the series. Alongside this is of course, the visuals to showcase this setting I have described and they are nice but most importantly it blends really well with soothing music that really makes it a great healing experience.
Let's Make A Mug Cup also is a short series with just over 14 minutes runtime including the opening and ending. This makes it about half the size of usual anime but it does not feel rushed like many shorts. In fact, it is well paced so far with introducing the characters and of course the setting and most importantly the pottery.
Another thing, is that it is also always enjoyable at least for me because I have fun learning about new things especially about something like pottery. Pottery has always caught my eye since it seems rather therapeutic as well and its not exactly something that is featured in anime often. This is a rather personal reason to enjoy an anime but it really is and I recognise this is fed by my interest to learning about different cultures. It is a charming series
